Causes of Brake failure:

Owner neglect and overloading.

If you've ever driven a bicycle or car or any other method of transport before, with or without an engine, you surely have thought of stopping at some point.
You probably realised that you have put all your trust on the brakes and brake system....

The most common cause of brake failure is owner neglect.
Brakes are so often neglected due to the fact that there is a brake pedal and the vehicle stopped the last time you used the brake.
Brakes, like many other parts of your vehicle, have a limited lifespan and should occasionally be inspected for wear and cracks or presence of moisture on the brake materials.

Many brands of brake pads and shoes manufacturers boast with a long lifespan of their products, estimated on findings from a group of motorists. testing the product.

Harsh braking and city driving were one constantly stop or slow down reduce the life of brake pads and shoes.
Overloading any vehicle will change its ability to stop and will wear brake materials faster than normal or even damage the braking system

Causes of brake failure.

Defective or perished brake hoses.

Brake hoses is an integral part of the braking system and is used to pushed brake fluid under hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder through the brake pipe to the brake caliper.

This pressure force the brake pads in the calipers together, clamping the brake pads onto the brake disc, initiating the brake proses.

Brake hoses or brake lines is a flexible rubber pipe. These hoses are manufactured from reinforced rubber which, is resistant to oils and fluids and must be able to withstand extremely high pressures which is generated during the braking process.

Brake hoses are exposed to regular hydraulic pressure as well as the outside environment. Over a period of time the rubber can perish weakening the hose compound which causes it to crack.
It is advisable to replace broken hoses with new brake hoses.
