What is a balloon payment?

Balloon payments offer clients the option to reduce their monthly payment amount, making these loans suitable for those who prefer lower monthly installments. There are three ways to handle a balloon payment to avoid negative impacts:

1. You can make additional payments during the 6-year term to gradually pay off the balloon amount whenever possible.

2. Trading in your vehicle for a new one between 3 to 4 years allows the balloon value to be included in the trade-in amount, resulting in lower installments and avoiding the lump sum at the end of the 6-year period.

3. Refinancing the balloon payment at the end of the 6-year term can lead to smaller installments compared to the current payment.

A balloon payment doesn't increase the total car cost, nor does it result in higher interest payments. It simply allows clients to have a more manageable monthly installment, making it possible to drive the vehicle of their dreams.
