We at GMT would just like to thank each of you, our loyal customers for the support over the past year.
It's been a tough year for every person and industry but with a supporting client base like we have growth is still in the cards.

With that said we would just like to announce that we've finally been able to make the big move to a premises where we would qualify for 5 star grading according RMI and MIIWA standards in order to get"RIGHT TO REPAIR" status which will allow us to work on any of your vehicle's even if it has a factory warranty.

Its still early stages for this as we're still settling in and have a bit of work cut out for us to get everything up to the standard for us to meet 5 star expectations but as from Monday 04/10/2021 we will be open for business as usual and we look forward to seeing all of you there at some point for a service or just to have a look at where we are if you are in the area.

Thanks to all of you and we wish you happy and trouble free driving and should you encounter problems always remember that we at GMT will be there to help whether you are around the corner from us or encounter a breakdown in another province.

Vehicle struggles to start up, has a terrible misfire and vibration coming from the engine and a major oil leak.

- Customer came in late afternoon only to make a booking. We instead decided to offer our 1hr free first time visit service and immediately started on it and within no time had it running alot better within no time and made a booking to have the necessary parts replaced at a more convenient time.

Workshop situated in Pretoria, Mayville have a position available for a mechanic.
Requirements:

• Knowledge on Ford/Mazda (petrol and diesel)
• Have to be able to think on your feet. Problem solving is part of the job
• Be able to work individually without constant supervision
• Must have a valid code08 drivers license
• Must have a valid ID or work visa
• Good time keeping
• Good health (we mostly do engine reconditioning so there is plenty of heavy lifting)
• Sober habits
• Cleanliness (Personal and in the work area)
• Computer literate
• Min. 3 latest contactable references accompanying your CV with info on position held at the company
• Own cellphone in good working condition
• Good knowledge of every component found on a vehicle (function aswell as description) will be beneficial for applicant

Duties involved for position:
• Diagnosing of any mechanical & electrical complaints.
• Remove and install engines (petrol/diesel), gearboxes (manual/automatic)
• Cylinderhead repairs ( replacing valve stem seals, lapping and assemble valves correctly)
• Suspension repairs
• Major and minor services (accompanied by full report everytime)
• Clutch replacements
• Brake services
• Assistance with towing in vehicles aswell as delivering to clients
• Assist with engine rebuild only under strict supervision till proven worthy
• Cleaning of workshop as a team on a daily basis
