Dyno Results – Mercedes C63 AMG 6.3 V8

This Mercedes C63 AMG 6.3 V8 came in for a Unichip installation and live dyno tune to improve performance, throttle response and overall power delivery.

The vehicle was already fitted with a full aftermarket exhaust system before arriving at our workshop. However, these particular C63 AMG models have an electronic limiter that restricts power delivery from approximately 5,000 rpm onwards.

Using the Unichip, we are able to remove this electronic limitation and carefully recalibrate the engine through live dyno tuning, unlocking significantly stronger performance at higher engine speeds.

In its initial configuration, with the aftermarket exhaust already fitted, the C63 AMG produced 361.8 bhp at 6,500 rpm.

After installing the Unichip, removing the electronic limitation and completing a full live calibration, power increased to 410.6 bhp at the same rpm, representing a 13% improvement.

The most significant gains are seen above 5,000 rpm, where removing the electronic restriction allows the naturally aspirated V8 to deliver substantially stronger power throughout the upper rev range.

With precise live tuning, the Unichip transforms the Mercedes C63 AMG 6.3 V8's upper-range performance — removing the electronic power restriction and delivering an additional 48.8 bhp at 6,500 rpm.

This is a perfect example of why peak power isn't simply about fitting performance hardware. Even with a full aftermarket exhaust system already installed, the correct electronic calibration was essential to unlock the engine's potential.

Dyno Results – Mitsubishi Triton 2.4 Di-D 81kW

This Mitsubishi Triton 2.4 Di-D 81kW came in for a Unichip installation and live dyno tune to improve performance, drivability and overall towing capability.

In standard form, the Triton produced 95.1 bhp at 4,000 rpm.
After installing the Unichip and completing a full live calibration, the vehicle produced substantially stronger power throughout the entire tested rev range, reaching 125.8 bhp at 3,500 rpm.

The biggest improvements are seen through the low- and mid-range, where this vehicle spends most of its time during everyday driving. The result is significantly stronger acceleration, improved throttle response and much more usable power for overtaking, towing and carrying loads.

Dyno Results – Toyota FJ Cruiser 2.7 VVT-i Auto Supercharged

This Toyota FJ Cruiser 2.7 VVT-i Auto came in to us for a Unichip installation and full live dyno tune to correctly calibrate the complete setup after an aftermarket supercharger kit was fitted.

After adding a supercharger kit, the engine needs to be properly calibrated to ensure the additional airflow and boost are matched with the correct fuelling and ignition timing. This is where the Unichip and live dyno tuning becomes critical.

We installed the Unichip and carefully calibrated the vehicle on our dynamometer to get the complete combination working together safely and effectively. We also did Gear Control with the Unichip to improve the Automatic transmission's Gear Shifts & Torque Converter Lockup, eliminating excessive revving and keeping the engine's rpm as low as possible for optimal fuel economy.

Rather than applying a generic calibration, the vehicle is tuned live on the dyno so that fuelling and ignition timing can be optimised specifically for the vehicle, its modifications and how the engine responds under load.

Where applicable, the Unichip can also provide additional thermal protection strategies. If the factory ECU does not offer sufficient thermal management for the modified setup, the Unichip can be configured in various ways to provide additional engine protection.
