To all the loyal Coverworx customers, friends and followers.
A lot has happened since our dad’s passing. From the onset it was our desire in line with our dad’s wishes, that the business continues after his passing.
Despite our best efforts to see this happen, it wasn’t to be. As soon as the news of our dad’s passing spread, the vultures started circling in.
We were in advanced negotiations with legitimate buyers, who had the passion and drive to take Coverworx forward with the personal care and attention to detail our dad was known for.
However. one particular individual with full knowledge of the sale of the business undermined all this through underhanded dealings. He phoned me numerous times, pretending to be a close friend of my dad’s. He tried sweet talking us into selling him all the Coverworx equipment and stock on the cheap. Despite repeatedly reminding him that we were in the process of selling the business, he went behind our backs. This character and his cohort poached some of the Coverworx staff and even went as far as illegally accessing the Coverworx Google business page and changing the contact details to their own, trying to trick people into believing that they took over the business. Over and above this he spread a bunch of lies about me personally.
This is utterly despicable behaviour and speaks of a rotten character who’s sole intention was to profit off our dad’s passing and the legacy he left behind. You sir are a disgusting human being, but know that the wheel turns and life has a way of humbling people like you. You were no friend of Ben Jansen, and your actions prove it.
Most recently we became aware that another of the former Coverworx employees, who stole thousands of rands of equipment from our dad including his laptop, is now trying to fool people into believing that he is carrying on with Coverworx.
This despicable human called Kenneth, was nothing but a driver. Despite this he was treated like a son. This is how he repays that loyalty and care shown to him. He is nothing but a common criminal. Please do not engage with this individual. We have his details and will be laying criminal charges against him with SAPS. He will face the law.
We want to categorically state that NO INDIVIDUAL OR BUSINESS, has bought or been given the right or blessing to carry on with Coverworx. Anyone claiming to have ‘inherited’ Coverworx’, it’s staff or anything else is a fraud.
Ben Jansen was Coverworx. He started the business and created a niche segment in the market many tried to copy. He was the heart and soul of the business. As far as we are concerned the business died with our dad.
The Coverworx name and social media pages will be kept alive as a tribute to Ben Jansen and what he achieved.
