Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Parts Sales role based at Hatfield Motor Group HAVAL HATFIELD in Hatfield. The Parts Sales professional will assist customers and internal workshop staff in identifying and sourcing the correct automotive parts and accessories, using catalogues and systems to ensure accuracy. Daily tasks include processing quotations, sales orders, and invoices, managing stock queries, and coordinating with the parts warehouse for timely availability and delivery. The role involves handling customer inquiries in person and over the phone, providing technical product information, and maintaining high levels of service and professionalism. The Parts Sales professional will also support inventory control by monitoring stock levels, reporting shortages, and adhering to dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications
• Strong customer service and communication abilities, with a professional approach to assisting both retail customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in basic computer systems, point-of-sale software, and parts cataloguing tools, with attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
• Sound knowledge of automotive components and vehicle systems, or the ability and willingness to develop this knowledge quickly.
• Organizational skills for managing multiple orders, queries, and follow-ups, while maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
• Previous experience in automotive parts sales, dealership operations, or a similar retail environment is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Hatfield, collaborating effectively within a diverse team and following established processes.
• Matric or equivalent educational qualification; additional automotive or technical training would be an advantage.
