Ford Ranger 1UZ-FE Conversion - Shifter Correction

Ford Ranger Lexus V8 conversion that came in needing some attention to the finishing details.

The vehicle was fitted with a 1UZ-FE V8, but the previous shifter installation involved cutting up the centre console and fitting a very rough shifter setup.

We removed the previous setup and reinstalled the original Ford Ranger shifter, modifying the linkage so that the factory-style shifter operates the automatic gearbox correctly.

Much cleaner result, factory-looking interior, and no unnecessary cutting of the console.

Sometimes the best conversion work is the work you can’t see.
