Ineos Grenadier introduced to SA market.

Congratulations to Ineos Automotive, who have introduced this serious 4x4 off-roader to the South African market.

The Grenadier has been designed to be a no-nonsense, no-frills and robust, yet comfortable vehicle that feels as comfortable off-road as it does on-road. It is powered by BMW-sourced engines in both petrol and diesel options.

Our team of engineering consultants were invited to join the media and prospective buyers in taking pre-production testing models through their paces. The first South African customers will take delivery of their Ineos Grenadier vehicles in October 2022.

The AIH Group, through our partner company EBP-Consulting, was thoroughly involved with the pre-production planning of the Grenadier.

AIH Group is proud to be involved with this exciting new-comer on the global automotive scene.

Updated branding, same company values.
In a world as fast paced as ours, one must keep moving forward or risk being left behind.
The AIH Group’s updated branding shows our clear intention to stay ahead of the curve in all aspects of the industry, whilst the instantly recognizable “X” logo remains unchanged as a homage to the company values that have remained steadfast since inception.

The AIH Group’s branding tells the story of a company with humble beginnings as an entrepreneurial start-up with the drive to succeed, become sustainable and grow into a global group of companies with a footprint into diverse markets.
•The four small squares central to the logo collectively forming a bigger square symbolises AIH’s different areas of expertise, with the interaction between it resulting in holistic solutions based on the expertise of a global network of associated skills and resources
•The “X” element symbolises the vision to be a global player following the needle of a compass in the direction of appropriate business opportunities
•The “X” with the points of the X pointing outwards, also denotes that when working in the related fields of automotive, logistics, assembly and economic development, out-of-the box and innovative solutions are required to be at the cutting edge of new solutions and systems thinking
•The business strategy is to better leverage off the Group based on the synergy of the collection of companies that are often mutually supportive
•This reflects in aligning the branding accordingly
•All the Group Companies are immediately and visually identified as part of the AIH Group Ecosystem
•The name of the company as part of the logo is a slightly smaller font reflecting its group membership and to contain practically the logo width

Macro-economic study, sectoral road maps required for SA’s NEV transition.

A recent statement by the AIH Deputy Chairman, Johan Cloete, in conjunction with the Intelligent Transport Society South Africa CEO, Dr Paul Vorster, concludes that more macro-economic investigations must be conducted to broaden the understanding of the true impact of electric vehicles in South Africa, beyond what is currently stated in the “Draft Green Paper on the Advancement of New-Energy Vehicles in South Africa”.

This paper, which was released by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) in May, outlines the production of electric vehicles in South Africa. However, according to Cloete and Vorster, broader studies should be conducted to determine the long-term economic impact that EV manufacturing will have on the current automotive sector, and how to tackle these problems.

On Thursday, 6 May 2021, Premier David Makhura and Health MEC Dr. Nomathemba Mokgethi unveiled the new COVID overflow facility at the Bronkhorstspruit Hospital.

The planning and construction of the 150-bed isolation ward was managed by the AIH Group, as an investment by BMW South Africa in conjunction with the German government.

The completed addition to the Bronkhorstspruit Hospital is strategically located east of Pretoria, and will aid the community in the fight against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

A big thank-you goes out to our own Melt de Vos, who oversaw the project management, and whose tireless effort was critical to the successful completion of this facility.
