Here are some pictures taken when I did a Ford Custom Combi. The pictures show how important it is to keep your vehicle aircon system clean. The air entering your vehicle through the air inlets, opened windows and doors contain enough polution to cause a poluted and bad smelling aircon system.

Even the pollen filter cannot prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi in the wet and moist environment of the evaporator chamber.

Annual cleansing of the vehicle aircon system is highly recommended.

This is how your vehicle's air conditioning system works:

Your vehicle's air conditioning system is connected to the heater system via a closed circuit. An evaporator is responsible for providing the desired hot or cold air, which is blown into the passenger compartment by way of a fan or blower.
The evaporator is continuously subjected to moisture. This combined with the heat emitted provides an ideal breeding ground for bacteria, fungicides, viruses, dirt & dust.
Even if you do not smell any odors, bacteria reside on the surface of the evaporator.

Our solution to this nasty problem:

We make use of a specialised chemical and apply it to the evaporator with specialised equipment. In other words " we literally wash the evaporator " with a chemical formulated for this application.
This procedure rids the evaporator of bacteria, fungicides and sickness causing germs without disassembly. It also forms a protective film on the evaporator surface and provides for fresh clean air with long-lasting effect.

We recommend that a vehicle air conditioning system should be professionally cleaned at least once a year.
