Following the civil unrest in most parts of South Africa, we are saddened by the looting and devastation that most companies have suffered.
As you may have heard, Dunlop’s warehouse in Durban was unlawfully invaded this week, where Passenger (car) and Motorbike tyres were stolen. This is happening across the board where all looted commodities are being offered at prices much lower than the normal pricing on numerous social media posts. This is a clear indication that these items have been looted.
SHARWOODS BIKE TYRE will not support, under any circumstance, the purchase of tyres, or any other commodity, from anyone other than reputable manufacturers and/or suppliers.
Purchasing through these informal channels will only encourage more criminal acts and further looting. As a brand we lead by example, and now is the time to live by our values. We are appealing to all of you out there to refrain from purchasing any suspicious items for sale on social media. We also ask that you discourage friends and family from doing the same.
