Porsche 718 RSK Spyder Replica – For Sale

Presenting another beauty showing off in Ballito! ☀️🌴

Our very first restoration we sent that way recently came back to us for a few upgrades – both mechanical and aesthetic – and what a transformation she's had!

New lights, Custom centre console, Carpet removed and replaced with a durable rubber mat, Chassis sanded and repainted, Stainless steel hardware upgrade throughout, Full repair and maintenance detail, Engine service and clutch replacement
, New king and link pins installed

The cherry on top? 😍 A stunning carbon fibre-look dashboard that has completely changed the feel of the interior!

A huge shout-out to our amazing team for putting in the extra hours to make this one perfect.

Some restorations demand a little more TLC than others... & then there are the ones that test every ounce of skill, & determination you have.

When we look at where she started & where she is today, we can't help but feel incredibly proud of the journey, the challenges we overcame, & the hours of hard work, blood, sweat, tears—and yes, a few sleepless nights—that went into bringing our customer's dream to life.

Now she's cruising the streets of Ballito, turning heads everywhere she goes.

Anyone who has spent time restoring classic vehicles knows that every project has its own story, some come with obstacles you could never have predicted. That's why we always smile when we see restoration shows completing builds in just a few weeks... because in the real world, true restorations take time.

Together with our team & trusted subcontractors, we began the journey.

Just when we thought we were nearing the finish line, the paint suffered a reaction that brought everything to a standstill. But giving up was not an option.

That's when PR2 Panel Beating, stepped in. With the same old-school grit and determination we believe in, he stripped the buggy back to its original fibreglass, to discover it never had a proper gel coat from the beginning which caused our problems. After painstaking preparation & fresh layers of product, hope returned.

We refinished her in 2K paint with a matte clear coat.
Then the rebuild began over again.

Armed with more experience, a renewed mindset, our team transformed this buggy.

From repairing the rusted chassis & fixing a fuel tank riddled with holes, to sorting out the electrical system, fitting rear suspension spring blades, detailing the engine, fitting new wheel bearings & brakes, customizing parts, reconditioning the suspension, & other details.

To our customer, thank you for your unwavering patience & trust throughout this journey. We know you waited far longer than expected, & we appreciate your understanding more than words can express.

To our amazing team—Siprien, Craig, Jocky, Reinhard, and Monia—thank you for never giving up. Your dedication carried this project through its toughest moments.

Pieter at PR2 Panel Beating, thank you for helping us save this build. The day she left your workshop, there were genuine tears of relief & joy. Your craftsmanship made all the difference.

This buggy will always hold a special place in our hearts—not because she was the easiest, but because she taught us the most.

This past week has been one of those crazy busy, exhausting, but rewarding weeks that really makes you stop and question yourself sometimes. Being an aircooled VW lover definitely has its ups and downs, and honestly, these old classics can give you more grey hairs and age you faster than imagined… haha!
But truthfully, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
No matter how tough the challenge gets, we don’t give up. Sometimes we step away for a moment, take a deep breath, and then tackle the mountain one step at a time. Because at the end of the day, seeing our customers experience the joy, sound, and spirit of their classic aircooled VW makes it all worth it.
A massive thank you to our incredible team for all the hard work, dedication, and long hours, and to all our customers for the continued support, patience, and trust in us. We truly couldn’t do this journey without you.
