𧀠MNF MECHANICAL β SAFETY AWARENESS
STOP. THINK. PROTECT YOURSELF.
π¨ ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN IN SECONDS.
If someone is injured and bleeding, your first instinct may be to help immediately. But before you touch blood, protect yourself too.
𧀠ALWAYS WEAR DISPOSABLE SURGICAL GLOVES WHEN ASSISTING SOMEONE WHO IS BLEEDING.
You may not even know that you have:
Tiny cuts
Cracked or dry skin
Small scratches
Hangnails or damaged skin around your nails
These may be too small to notice, but they can provide a route for blood to enter your body.
β οΈ You cannot tell by looking at someone whether their blood carries an infection.
Protect yourself before you help someone else.
π Keep disposable gloves in your vehicle, workshop, first-aid kit and toolbox.
π If gloves are available, put them on before assisting with bleeding.
π Wash your hands thoroughly after removing gloves.
π Dispose of used gloves safely.
A PAIR OF GLOVES TAKES SECONDS.
PROTECTING YOURSELF COULD LAST A LIFETIME.
