Today we mourn the loss of a cherished colleague, Welcome Mkhwanazi.

We also celebrate the remarkable life of someone who dedicated 23 years of unwavering service to our organisation, ENGEN St. Lucia.

He was our Indoena and part of our Snyman and ENGEN family.

He taught us the importance of responsibility, discipline, teamwork and respect for each other.
He even disciplined our own children when they were young and it was necessary.

His guiding hand was a steady force and all our staff looked up to him. He was a leading example and always willing to help. He could share a joke and have a good laugh with us. It is up to us to honor his memory by carrying forward these lessons to ensure that his spirit remains alive in our team.

He is leaving big shoes to fill on our forecourt. His smile will be missed by each colleague and customer.

Rest in peace. You will forever be missed but never forgotten. Our condolences to his family.

The annual Heritage Day Sea Rescue FunRun will be on Saturday 24 September, 2022.
The event will be in St Lucia at the Sea Rescue station 40 base on Pelikaan Street.
This event is NOT a race and is open to all shapes amd sizes.
We encourage walkers, runners and cyclists to participate, there's a distance for everyone.
Dogs and prams are welcome.
Since it is Heritage Day weekend we do encourage 'dressing for the occasion', wear something to represent your Heritage!
There are 4 distances to choose from 3km, 6km, 10km and 20km distance events to suit all levels of activity. The routes are all on the road and wind in and around the lovely Coastal town of St Lucia.

Registration is from 6am to 6:45am.
Event starts at 7am
NO ENTRANCE FEE
* donations of coffee, milk, tea, hot chocolate, rusks, biscuits and cleaning supplies are very much appreciated.
Sea Rescue is a volunteer based organisation, all members are volunteers and all operational costs are donated.
If you would like to donate to the organisation you can bring us some goodies or donate on our zapper / snapscan QR code.
After the fun run, the station will be open for tours and volunteers will be hosting an Open Day for all who are interested in volunteering with Station 40.
The St Lucia market fair will be located next to station 40 and there will be many stalls with goodies to purchase.
So grab your family, dog and friends and join us on Saturday Sept 24 for a fun time.

Thanks to Makwande Distributors, we received a fuel delivery for the first time in over a week.
