Purchasing a second hand car can be an exciting time for you, all the new adventures to be had and places to be visited in your new ride.
Before embarking on your new journey it would be highly recommended to have a major service and a full check over on your vehicle to make sure it is in tip top shape and ready for the road.
This Audi Q7 4.2 TDI came in for those precise reasons, the car was given a comprehensive check over and communicated with the customer what would be recommended for servicing and replacement.
First things first would be an oil change using Motul 8100 X-Clean+ and an OEM oil filter. An oil change on any vehicle you purchase is highly recommended as the oil change may have been done previously but the quality of oil might be of concern / questionable.
Next up was safety – This included the full braking system to be updated.
Brake disks at all four corners, brake pads as well as the brake wear indicators were all replaced as well as bleeding the entire system and replacing the brake fluid with Motul DOT 5.1
Replaced the battery as the vehicle was presenting a low voltage warning on the instrument cluster accompanied with hard starting. The battery had run it's cycle as it was 10 years old, very impressive for it to have lasted that long to be honest.
Last on the list for this visit was replacing the front suspension bushes due to the wear that has occurred on them. Due to some of the ball joints being integrated in the arm and not serviceable, it was decided to replace the complete control arms (Upper and lower) as well as the stabilizer links, this renews all joint and bushes that are present on the system and ensures everything is brand new and fresh. Once this was completed a wheel alignment was performed.
There are other components that will be needing replacement on the vehicle but until then / when the parts arrive the customer can drive with confidence and peace of mind.
Looking forward to working on this torque beast again 💪
