Terms and Conditions
1. These terms and conditions govern the Volkswagen EasyDrive Maintenance Plan
Competition (“the Competition”) hosted by Volkswagen of South Africa (Pty) Ltd
(“VWSA”)
2. By agreeing to participate in the Competition, you agree to the
se terms and conditions
3. The Competition commences in South Africa on 1 April 2023 and closes on 31
December 2023 (“the Competition Period”).
4. Participants are automatically entered into the Competition when they purchase at
least a 4 year/60 000 km EasyDrive Maintenance Plan during the Competition Period.
5. The participant agrees to comply with all applicable legislation in South Africa when
participating in the Competition. VWSA shall, in its sole discretion be entitled to recover any loss or damage arising from the participant’s contravention of legislation or commission of any criminal act while participating in the Competition.
6. The Competition is only open to legal residents of South Africa who are 18 years or
older at the time of entering the Competition and have a valid driver’s licence in
possession on the day of the event.
7. Only natural persons are allowed to enter the Competition
8. VWSA shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from entering this
Competition
9. The Competition is not open to employees or directors of VWSA and their immediate family members.
10. The Competition is not open to members, partners, directors, employees, agents or consultants of VWSA or its affiliated companies, dealers and their staff, agencies,
service providers, contractors and members of their immediate or extended family.
11. The winners will be drawn through a random draw that will be conducted between May 2023 and January 2024.
12. The prizes of this competition is one of the following:
• Shell Fuel Voucher to the value of R7 500. Three winners will be drawn each
month from May 2023 to January 2024
• VW Track Day Experience – Two winners will be drawn every Quarter from
Q2 2023
• Takealot Vouchers to the value of R2 000 including VAT. One winner will be
drawn each month from May to November 2023 and two winners in December
2023 & January 2024
• Weekend Getaway Voucher to the value of R11 250 Including VAT. 2 Winners
In July & October 2023 and 2 winners in January 2024
13. The Fuel Voucher will be in the form of a Shell V Card. Usage of the Fuel Voucher is subject to the terms and conditions of the Shell V Card that are available on
www.shell.co.za.
14. The winners will be notified by telephone or through e-mail
15. Entrants are only eligible to win one of the prizes available during the Competition
Period
16. The prizes are transferrable.
17. The prizes are not negotiable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
18. This Competition excludes the EasyDrive Mastercars and Monthly Maintenance Plan.
19. If VWSA is unable to contact the winner within 72 hours of the draw, VWSA shall be entitled but not obliged to award the prize to the next eligible winner.
20. The winner may be requested but will be under no obligation to consent to his/her name and photographs being published or otherwise used by VWSA for marketing promotions.
21. Unless you consent otherwise, neither VWSA nor any of the Competition organisers or sponsors, its dealers will use the personal information you give us for any purpose other than facilitation of the Competition or compliance with applicable legislation. You may withdraw your consent at any time by notifying VWSA in writing of such withdrawal.
22. The Competition judges’ decision shall be final and not subject to any appeal or review, no correspondence will be entered into.
23. If VWSA is legally required to alter any aspect of the Competition or to terminate the Competition, VWSA will have the right to do so without prior notice. Neither VWSA nor its Dealers shall be held liable for such alteration or cancellation.
24. It shall be a pre-requisite for the winner to provide VWSA with proof of identity
acceptable to VWSA upon collection of the prize, this could a valid driver’s license,
passport or identity document in the form of the card or green barcoded book.
25. Successful entry into the Competition does not amount to eligibility.
26. Announcement of a winner does not amount to compliance with the Competition Terms and Conditions. VWSA reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches any of the Competition Terms and Conditions, or engages in any unlawful or dishonest conduct in relation to the Competition. In this regard VWSA shall be entitled to recover any loss or damage from the responsible party arising from such conduct
27. The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern this Competition
