SAVE THE DATE | We’ve got something really special lined up, and we’d love for you to be there. MIWA, along with Hoër Tegniese skool Daniel Pienaar Technical High School and Concept Crew Car Club EC, is hosting the Motor Mech Show Kariega & Alles Op Wiele Show. It’s happening on Saturday, 17 August 2024, and it’s going to be a day full of fun, competition, exhibitions, and some pretty cool cars!
Why should you come?
The Motor Mech Shows are all about getting the community excited about careers in the automotive industry.
“We want to raise awareness and excitement about the motor industry. We want junior school children to know there is a career in motor mechanics and which schools are available for this career. For those in high school, we would like to educate them on what the industry is all about and the options for technical high schools, colleges, and available workshops. We are excited to share our passion for the industry! From training to quality parts to graded workshops – all working together to improve skills levels and customer experiences,” says Peter van Mosseveld, Retail Motor Industry Organisation - RMI Regional Manager.
Daniel Pienaar Technical High School is a perfect partner because they’re not only the oldest technical high school in South Africa but also the only one that offers Motor Sport as a school sport. They’re super passionate about technical education and supporting young talent, just like we are!
Here’s what you and your family can look forward to:
🏎️ Alles Op Wiele Car Show: Check out some amazing cars from Concept Crew Car Club and other enthusiasts. We expect to have about 445 classic cars on display, a number of celebrity motorsport legends as well as some well-known journalists and DJs from Luister FM.
🛠️ Junior Motor Mech Competition: Watch top students compete for the 'Junior Motor Mech 2024’ title. It's always impressive to see what these young talents can do!
🔧 Industry displays: Explore interesting and informative displays from suppliers, new vehicle manufacturers, and workshops. Get hands-on with the latest tech and innovations in the automotive world. Most of our dealers in the Eastern Cape will be represented.
🎉 Entertainment for your kids: There will be plenty to keep the little ones busy and happy.
🍔 Food & beverages: Grab something tasty to eat and drink while you enjoy the day.
🎁 Lucky Draws throughout the day: Take part in lucky draws and stand a chance to win one (or some) of the terrific prizes which will be up for grabs.
