BREAKING NEWS: STATE OF NATIONAL DISASTER IS IN FACT PREMEDITATED STATE CAPTURE/POWER GRAB/COUP PLANNED ALL ALONG

When a National State of Disaster was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa during his State of the Nation Address (Sona) speech on Thursday, which talked about how “in a time of crisis, we need a single point of command and a single line of march”, the opposition benches burst into heckling.

And even before Ramaphosa concluded his 8,210-word speech, some parties had briefed its lawyers.

“A National State of Disaster under the guise of dealing with the load shedding crisis will similarly empower the ANC to abuse procurement processes and issue nonsensical regulations that have nothing to do with the electricity crisis. The opposition will not sit back and allow the ANC to abuse the electricity disaster it created to loot and further abuse the people of South Africa like they have done during the Covid Lockdown,” the opposition said.

The possible declaration of the Electricity State of Disaster (That the ANC caused themselves https://fb.watch/i8y7ZLVJ81/ ) had raised concern across business and civil society, given the extent of tender and procurement corruption in the two-year Covid-19 State of Disaster and lockdown.

Questions were also raised over what a State of Disaster would contribute towards resolving South Africa’s energy crisis, given the availability of existing legislative routes for emergency funding and procurement regulatory relief.

Plaasmoord: Oorlewendes is ook slagoffers

(Debat in parlement)

Die oorlewendes van plaasaanvalle is ook slagoffers en die fokus moet ook op hulle geplaas word in ʼn debat oor die aangeleentheid.

Dit is die mense wat ʼn plaasaanval oorleef het en met hul lewe moet aangaan met die trauma wat vele moes beleef om teenwoordig te wees tydens ʼn moord op een of meer gesinslede. Die meeste van hierdie lewende slagoffers is vroue en kinders.

Hoe groot is die trauma wanneer ʼn twaalfjarige dogter moet toekyk hoe haar ma verkrag word? Hoe groot is die trauma wanneer gesinslede moet toekyk hoe slagoffers met bore en kookwater gemartel en vermoor word? Dit brand nie net die slagoffers nie, dit brand ook in die geheue van die kinders.

Om hierdie rede sê die VF Plus daar moet besondere aandag gegee word aan hierdie lewende slagoffers.

Die party sê ook dankie aan alle mense wat optredes hou ter bewusmaking van plaasmoord. Die afgelope naweek se optog is ʼn goeie voorbeeld daarvan. Die publiek moet hiermee volhard. Daar moet optredes en demonstrasie wees teen plaasmoord, nie net woorde nie.

Die VF Plus wil sy dank uitspreek teenoor alle mense wat met hierdie bewusmaking volhard.

Daar bestaan wel ʼn landelike veiligheidsplan met baie positiewe aspekte wat die polisie in 2019 opgedateer het. Dit moet nou net in werking gestel en uitgevoer word. Daar is groot bereidwilligheid onder die boere van Suid-Afrika om saam met die polisie te werk in die uitvoering van hierdie plan.

Die VF Plus doen ook ʼn beroep op die minister van polisie (Bheki Cele) om weer ʼn diepte ondersoek na plaasmoord te doen soos met die spesiale ondersoek na plaasaanvalle en -moord in 2003 om te sien wat die grondliggende oorsake hiervan is.

Plaasmoord kan nie gesien word as gewone misdaad nie. Met die eerste parlementêre debat oor die aangeleentheid op 14 Maart 2017 wat die VF Plus aangevra het, was die meeste politieke partye dit eens dat plaasmoord ʼn ernstige saak is wat ʼn groot bedreiging inhou vir voedselsekuriteit in die land.

Met die debat in 2017 het die VF Plus die fokus laat val op die brutaliteit van aanvalle wat steeds aan die orde van die dag is. Dit is egter belangrik om te onthou dat oorlewendes ook slagoffers is wat aandag moet kry.

Dit is belangrik dat die publiek moet weet hulle het die reg op insae in munisipale kontrakte met diensleweraars en die inhoud daarvan.

Urgent notice: Possible ATDF (All Truck Drivers Foundation) nationwide demonstrations on 25/09/2020 pertaining to dissatisfaction with foreign nationals expected to result in risks to business operations
Information indicates that members/supporters of the All Truck Drivers Foundation (ATDF) are planning to embark on demonstrations nationwide on 25/09/2020 due to dissatisfaction with the supposed high number of foreign nationals employed within the Road Freight Sector. Applicable risks in the event of unrest include violent attacks on trucks/drivers, arson (pelting trucks with petrol bombs), barricading of roads with hijacked trucks, violent clashes between criminals and authorities as well as looting of trucks. Although ATDF previously distanced itself from similar planned demonstrations, sporadic incidents of unrest by its members/supporters took place, as such, in the event that ATDF distances itself from the planned demonstrations, unrest remains probable. Take note that demonstrations, while reportedly planned for 25/09/2020, could materialise from late on 24/09/2020. In addition, be advised that members of Sisonke People`s Forum (SPF), who previously voiced support for ATDF, embarked on demonstrations on 24/09/2020 against immigration laws, while members of Umkhonto We Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) are supposedly planning to embark on demonstrations along major roads in Tongaat, Durban Central and Mariannhill (KwaZulu-Natal) from 24/09/2020 against foreign nationals allegedly decreasing employment opportunities for South Africans and are therefore likely to participate in or support ATDF demonstrations on 25/09/2020.
