Receiver Drier vs Accumulator
Both components play an important role in an automotive air-conditioning system, but they are used in different system configurations and perform related yet distinct functions.

Receiver drier
• Commonly used in systems with a thermal expansion valve (TXV)
• Designed to assist with moisture removal
• Helps with filtering contaminants from the refrigerant flow

Accumulator
• Commonly used in systems with an or***ce tube design
• Helps manage refrigerant returning through the system
• Supports moisture removal and filtering functions
