This F16D4 1.6L Chevy Cruze LS engine had just been done by another mechanic but couldn't start. He claimed that it needed to build first in order to start. After countless tries he gave up and told the owner that he'd come back the next day. The next day he came back he found us already operating on the motor. We found that the motor was mixing water and engine oil, timing was completely wrong with crackshaft timed at BDC and camshafts incorrectly set. Camshafts were also found to have been swapped. Compression test showed no sign of compression at all.
"The motor runs so smooth and quiet now". These are the words from the owner and everyone else who has driven the car.

BMW E90 320i constantly losing water and overheating due to failed water pump as indicated by the leak through the weep hole.

2006 Opel Astra with a 1.8 z18xe engine. Client complained of hard start and very rough running. We could tell that there was a compression problem when the engine was running, so we checked the cam timing and it checked out. The we did a compression test and... Voilà! No compression on cylinder number 4. Taking the head off tomorrow.
