We often get asked :
What are Thermal Phenolics Spacers and what can this provide to my Subaru?

Well here's the summed up version to assist :

Our Phenolic Spacers are designed to keep heat away from your intake manifold. In essences currently your intake manifold coupled with your throttle body sit directly onto your "block". This in turn keeps your intake manifold hot and this is when heatsoak occurs.

By keeping your intake cool you have a more stable temperature values to work with coupled with tuning.

Colder air in any form increases not only performance but efficiency and added safety. These are the problem areas on Subarus with the high number of detonation cases which this can aid in.

Not only does this keep your intake cool but we have measured lower temperatures in the engine bay area aswell. So should you have a short ram intake this will also perform much better with the ambient temperature in the engine bay being drastically reduced.

For those custom setups being either rotating the intake when you need the clearances this is ideal or should you have upgraded your turbo intake pipe this will give you the clearance you require.

We often get caught up in adding in power to our vehicles but forgetting safety first. These Thermal Phenolic Spacers is the ideal foundation in keeping heat away as part of that safety.

We offer them in 3mm aswell as 10mm versions old and new Gen EJ20 patterns. These come complete with 4 sandwich gaskets as well as a temp Coolant bypass kit.
