E90 320i n46 with coolant leaking into the combustion chambers caused by block corrosion which came about by running a long time without coolant. Water molecules are reactive with metallic block components that leads to corrosion. Oxidation takes place and suddenly eats away the block edges creating passages for water on areas supposed to be air-tight.

N13 engine one of the most problematic engines,,, with timing chain problems Vanos system failures and overheating issues. Bellow is an N13 on f30 316i body, Overheated and blew the head gasket.A complete engine rebuild was necessary with new original parts and done perfectly.

Common problems require common solutions, 320i f30 known for timing chain failure where guides break into the engine and block oil pump strainer to cause oil pressure faults eventually bearing knock and engine seizure. This vehicle timing kit was old fortunately we changed it b4 breaking,,, and saved a lot of expenses. Timing chain replacement is on or b4 80 000km to avoid disappointments

Here's another touch of exception, 320i f30 N20 engine with a knock, and a cut through on cylinder one and two that required block scheming.
