I should have posted this notice so long ago, but it slipped my mind.
I have stopped building and working on bikes. I started a Metal laser cutting business. This endeavor is taking up all my time. I will still post some bike related stuff from time to time. Thank you for all those who followed and engaged on the page.

Exciting news!! Creative Metal Worx has got their new 1500watt Fiber Laser cutter. From the beginning of February we should be up and running for business.

Had 2 all black bikes that I had to respray. I used a satin finish on a Sahara base coat. It is amazing how both bikes stand out now and even seem a bit more mod.

It is great to be able to own 3 of the most legendary adventure bikes. I can now speak from experience of all 3. They all have their place. That being said, I still love the way the KLR takes EVERYTHING you throw at it with no problem. It never dies on me, and being a bit slow, it has saved me from many speeding fines. The GS is a really nice looong road tourer, some dirt roads here and there but does not really like sand or mud to much. The KTM 990 is a real hooligan machine. I love the raw power, deep growl and wide balace point for wheelies. Off road I enjoy it except the fact that the back wheel brakes traction all the time. Feels like a dirt bike when riding single track. So like I said, I consider myself VERY luck to own these legends.

Never say never. I said that I would never work on a road bike. Well I was wrong. Just finished this project. Client has a sentimental attachment to the bike. He asked that I make it more comfortable to ride and more modern to look at. I was to keep the original paint job. So this is what I came up with.

You're on pension now. You lucky you can just relax now, they said. 5 days into pension and I need a brake already. I think I need help, professionally and physically. 9 waiting for spares, 1 on the ramp and 2 in storage awaiting parts and engineering. Damn this is going to be a real full time job.

My personal rant against silicon gasket maker. I have repaired so many bike motors in my years of work due to the incorrect use of silicon based gasket makers. If they are applied correctly then they are ok. If not, you will be paying terrible school fees soon.
