First time out with the car and we’re absolutely stoked with the result. 🔥

We took the RS out for its first proper run on the new setup and managed a 12.12sec pass at 195km/h on the 1/4 mile at Mzansi Speedway.

That makes it officially the fastest Ford Focus RS 2.3 in South Africa on the 1/4 mile.🇿🇦

This was done in full trim form and on full street tyres. No stripping the car out, no slicks — just the RS as it sits.

The car performed really well throughout the day and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first outing.

A massive thank you to Turbosmart for coming on board and being part of this build. We’re really happy with how their products have performed.

And we’re not finished yet. 👀

There’s still some work to do, we know there’s an 11 second pass in this car in true street form.

12.12 for the first outing… let’s see where we can take it from here.🔥

Focus RS Build - Part 3

SloRS 2.0 chapter has begun. 🔥

The build is finally done… now it’s time to enjoy it and get some seat time!

The Turbosmart 6466 has completely transformed this RS making a healthy:

Pump Fuel) 362 KW | 602 Nm
E60 Map 2) 514 KW | 834 Nm
E60 Map 3) 537 kW | 852 Nm

Above figures are staggering, considering the car tapped out at 363kw 710nm on a G30-900 turbo.

The turbo setup has a way lot more in it, but for safety of the unsleeved block we decided to cap it. We had a goal, we exceeded it, now we enjoy it.

Development plans for SloRS 3.0 will start to come together soon, if you know, you know.

The performance from this setup is honestly crazy. Everything we’ve put into the car has come together really well, and it’s pretty special seeing the numbers after all the work that’s gone into the build.

Now comes the fun part — driving it! 😎

After 1,500 km of running in, the vehicle has now received its service to ensure everything is running smoothly and ready for the road.

Focus RS Build — Part 2

The Turbosmart goodies have landed, so now the real work starts!

We’ve also added a few more pieces to the puzzle:

• Radium surge tank
• Walbro fuel pump
• Radium baffle plate
• Airtec Aux Fuel Setup

The rest of the parts are landing Monday, and once everything is here, we can properly get stuck into the build.

There’s a lot going into this RS and we’re really looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.
