Tyres naturally build up heat during long drives and at higher speeds. If your tyres are hot, allow them to cool naturally rather than trying to cool them with water or releasing air.

Never deflate a hot tyre to bring the pressure back down — the pressure will rise naturally as the air inside heats up and should be checked when the tyre is cold.
