Tyre Safety & Maintenance Steps
Looking after your tyres doesn't have to be complicated. Small, regular checks can help improve safety, extend tyre life and give you greater peace of mind on the road.
✅ Check the Tread Depth Indicator
All tyres have built-in tread depth indicators, which make it easier to see when your tread is getting too low.
1️⃣ Locate the indicators — you'll find them inside the grooves of your tyre tread.
2️⃣ Check the tread against the indicator. If the tread is level with the indicator, your tyre has reached the minimum tread depth of around 1.6 mm.
3️⃣ Time for a replacement? If the tread is level with the indicator, it's time to replace the tyre. Don't wait until the tread is completely worn down.
Regularly checking your tread depth can help you identify worn tyres before they become a safety risk.
