a wider range of interesting cars that aren’t being built anymore. Others are more comfortable with a specific meaning of the word, like saying that to qualify as classic the car must be “a post-WWII, pre-1980 model of technical or nostalgic merit”. But how old or new can a classic car be? Who decides whether a car is noteworthy, or when it approaches ‘a certain age

In conclusion, there’s no rhyme or reason to what ‘classic’ means in everyday parlance. But if somebody tells you a car is a classic and you think that they’re wrong, remember that eventually, they’ll almost certainly become right

𝐖𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 1961 Fiat 600 Multipla 🇮🇹

Next up is the 1961 Fiat 600 Multipla - a vehicle that appears to have been designed by someone who couldn't decide which end was supposed to be the front! This mint-green marvel looks like what you'd get if you asked an Italian designer to sketch a car while holding the paper upside down.

The Multipla took the popular Fiat 600 and transformed it into what might be history's first minivan identity crisis. With its almost vertical front end and sloped rear, it has the distinctive appearance of a car that's perpetually confused about its direction of travel. The innovative design managed to squeeze six seats into a package smaller than today's Smart car, proving that Italian engineers could work miracles with space.

What makes this little oddball truly special is its clever seating arrangement which had a bench seat right where most cars would have their engine. This meant passengers could sit practically on top of the front wheels, making every speed bump an adventure in physics. The 600 Multipla might have been strange-looking, but it was a brilliant solution for large Italian families who wanted to transport the entire clan without giving up their ability to park in spaces the size of a postage stamp.

The 1959 Cadillac Broadmoor Skyview was a special-purpose luxury vehicle built by Superior Coach for Colorado's prestigious Broadmoor Hotel. Only six were produced, featuring a massive 156-inch wheelbase and three full-length plexiglass roof panels that offered panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. Powered by a 390ci V8 engine producing 345bhp, these unique vehicles could accommodate up to twelve people across four rows of leather seating. This particular example is the last of eight model 666 bodies built (including two non-Skyview variants), and served at the Broadmoor until the early 1970s, transporting guests on sightseeing tours around Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods.

The 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Big Brake Airbox is a rare, performance-oriented version of the Corvette designed specifically for racing. It is equipped with the "Big Brake" option, officially known as RPO 684, which includes heavy-duty brakes with finned drums, heavy-duty suspension, and unique metallic brake linings to improve cooling and performance under racing conditions. The "Airbox" refers to a cold-air induction system, part of the RPO 579D option, that improved engine performance by providing cooler, denser air to the fuel-injected 283 cu. in. V-8 engine.
