🔧 SECTION 26 – MOTOR MECHANIC RED SEAL TRADE

Section 26 Trade Testing at DE Training Centre.

Candidates who meet the required Section 26 requirements, successfully complete the prescribed Motor Mechanic Trade Test and are declared COMPETENT will qualify for the applicable South African Red Seal Trade Certificate.

🇿🇦 The Red Seal Trade Certificate is nationally recognised throughout South Africa and serves as formal recognition of qualified artisan status.

🌍 The South African Red Seal is also a valuable trade credential when seeking employment internationally and may be presented to overseas employers and authorities as evidence of qualified artisan status. Recognition, equivalency or licensing in another country remains subject to that country's specific requirements.

💰 Estimated Fees: R16,500 – R25,000 The final cost depends on the candidate's existing experience and the number of weeks of pre-trade training and preparation required.

📅 We recommend that all interested candidates book an appointment at DE Training Centre. Our lecturers and management team will review your qualifications and workplace experience and explain the Section 26 and trade-test process in detail.

Empowering the Next Generation of Motor Mechanics

At DE Automotive Training Centre, we are incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to carry out the technical assessments for the Motor Mech Show 2026, held at Clairwood Secondary School.

It was inspiring to witness the talent, dedication and practical skills demonstrated by the young learners who participated in this competition. Their performance is a strong reminder that the future of the automotive industry depends on developing young people with the right knowledge, practical abilities and work ethic.

We are especially proud to announce that DE Automotive Training Centre will be hosting four learnership opportunities for learners who excelled in the competition. This is our way of investing directly in the next generation of automotive professionals.
