King Cars is an independently owned business started some 21 years ago in Port Elizabeth by Jacques Du Plessis, youngest brother of the Springbok Rugby legendary Du Plessis brothers, Carel, Michael and Willie. Jacques played rugby himself, for many years, at the highest provincial level for WP and the Eastern Province. His integrity, very hard-working ethics and passion for the motor business was soon rewarded and today, 21 years later, King Cars is an household name in the Eastern Cape. In July 2014, Pierre Potgieter, a financial accountant with 28 years’ experience in commerce and the motor trade, partnered up with Jacques. Pierre, who was also appointed as new Group CEO, brings with him superior Industry knowledge, vision and together with the experience of Jacques, they are VERY excited for what lies ahead for their staff and customers. The first hereof, is the opening of our first King Car Dealership in September 2014, in the Western Cape (Bellville). This King Cars Dealership in Bellville, brings with, the exclusive membership of the Blue Chip Dealer Group, an association of “quality used-car dealerships” in the Western Cape, with a “common bond in values and integrity”.
