Sometimes a simple test uncovers a much bigger problem.
🔧 Jwd Car Repairs

This Audi’s injectors were sent away for testing, and one failed completely. That’s why proper diagnostics matter—you can identify a problem before it causes poor performance or engine damage.

Then we inspected this Ford Ranger and found a long list of issues, including turbo concerns, brake wear, suspension problems, intake buildup, wiring faults, and overdue servicing. It just goes to show that a vehicle can look perfectly fine on the outside while hiding plenty of problems underneath.

Would you spend thousands replacing a part that’s still working perfectly?

This Volkswagen camper van came in for an inspection and quickly turned into a much bigger job. We’re sorting brakes, suspension, wiring faults, a gearbox issue, and a major service while tracking down hard-to-find parts.

Next to it is a Ford Ranger with a wet timing belt. Ford’s replacement interval is much higher, but many owners choose to replace them early because if that belt fails, it can cause catastrophic engine damage. It’s a costly preventative maintenance job, but often cheaper than replacing an engine.

Tuning this Hilux to over 200kw!

This Toyota Hilux is getting a Stage 2 upgrade with a larger turbo, upgraded intercooler, boost pipes, and an oil catch can to improve performance and reliability. But power upgrades are only part of the story.

We’re also replacing tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushes, fixing wiring issues, repairing trail damage, and tightening everything that months of off-road abuse have loosened. Because adding power is easy—making sure the vehicle can survive the adventure is the real challenge.

Ford's Wet Timing Belt...

Most people only think about a timing belt when it fails — and by then it’s usually too late.

This Ford Ranger came in for a preventative wet timing belt replacement and full fluid service. During our inspection, we found extremely dirty differential oils, so we replaced all the drivetrain fluids, including the transfer case and differentials.

The wet timing belt runs inside the engine and requires major disassembly to access. We’ve seen firsthand what happens when these belts are left too long — stripped teeth, lost timing, valves meeting pistons, and ultimately a complete engine rebuild.

Regular inspections and preventative maintenance might seem costly, but they’re far cheaper than replacing an engine.

This is why we inspect every vehicle thoroughly and fix problems before they become breakdowns. 🔧🚙💨

Ever wondered what mechanics find after the bonnet gets opened?

This Ford Ranger came in with an intermittent limp mode issue. It would drive normally, then lose power, and a quick key cycle would temporarily fix it. That’s often an early warning sign of a failing turbo.

An Audi arrived for a clutch replacement but ended up needing a flywheel, water pump, crank seal repair, brakes, and a full diagnostic check.

Another Ranger had water damage in the steering system, but the real culprit turned out to be a faulty control module.

And during a routine oil service on another Ford, we found metal shavings in the oil and pieces of metal sitting in the sump — never a good sign for an engine.

You’d be surprised how many different faults can hide behind a simple workshop booking.

Last week, this Ford Transit came in and ended up needing wheel bearings, brakes, a new battery, wiring repairs, a clutch master cylinder, and even a leaking turbo boost pipe that had coated the alternator in oil.

Then we had this Volkswagen motorhome in for a service, but it also received new brakes, a battery replacement, and an ignition relay upgrade.

It’s always interesting to see how one vehicle can arrive with a single complaint, but uncover a whole list of issues once the inspection starts.
