Looks a little like a horseshoe with an exclamation mark. Unfortunately, it doesn't mean good luck. 😬

That's your Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) warning light. It generally means one or more tyres may be underinflated — although it can also indicate an issue with the monitoring system itself.

If it appears while you're driving, don't just wait for it to disappear. Check your tyre pressures as soon as it's safe to do so.

Heading away for the school holidays? Before the luggage goes in, give your car five minutes.

Check:
✓ Tyre pressure — including the spare
✓ Tread and visible tyre damage
✓ Oil and coolant levels
✓ Wipers and washer fluid
✓ Headlights, brake lights and indicators

And if something doesn't look, sound or feel right, deal with it before departure day.

Ever looked at the numbers on your tyre and wondered what on earth they mean?

Take 245/45 R18:
245 = tyre width in millimetres
45 = sidewall height as a percentage of the tyre's width
R = radial construction18 = the wheel diameter in inches

And conveniently, those numbers are also rather useful when you're shopping for new tyres.

Check your sidewall, get your numbers and shop online with Hi-Q - link in our bio.

Your car might be trying to tell you something.

𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗲? Your brake pads may need attention.
𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻? It could point to a CV joint issue.
𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴? Definitely don't turn the music up and pretend you didn't hear it.
𝗞𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘀? Your suspension may need checking.

Cars aren't great conversationalists, but the experts at Hi-Q speak fluent car.

Spring clean, but make it automotive. 🧽

A few things worth checking after winter:
🌬️ Air-con: If it smells musty when you switch it on, your cabin filter could need attention.
🛞 Tyres: Check pressure and tread — not just whether they “look okay”.
🧹 Wipers: Winter may have done a number on them. Look for cracks, skipping or streaking.
🔋 Battery: Cold weather can be tough on batteries, so don't ignore slower-than-usual starts.

Then you can tackle the crumbs between the seats.
