The most common problem I find: Worn steering head bearings.
The symptoms: The bike does not want to ride straight. At slow speed the bike tries to go right or left. And of course high speed instability.
Causes:
Overtightened, often from the factory.
Corrosion, water ingress from not staying away with the pressure washer, or damaged seals. Some bikes only have dust covers protecting the bearings.
A crash twists the forks and turns the bearings out of adjustment.
How to check:
Bike propped up with the front off the ground. Turn the steering over straight ahead. If there is only the slightest notch it is time to replace the bearings.
The steering must turn without any resistance.
Video in the first comment, bearings fitted today, KTM LC8.

When you service your bike's shock you have to make sure all the internals plus the oil take up less volume than the internal volume of the shock.
Else something has to go somewhere.

One of the most common mistakes I see on an almost daily basis, which causes brake issues from binding to glazed, poorly performing pads.
The pistons must be thoroughly cleaned of any baked on brake dust and rust before the pistons are pushed back into the caliper.
Failing to do this will deposit brake dust into the dust wipers grooves, fray the dust wipers and bind the pistons.
This applies to almost all motorcycle brake calipers, with the exception of a few, old designs which use external dust boots.
If you can not push the pistons back with a firm press of your thumb you are heading for a pricey rebuild of the caliper.

Finally some time to work on one of my own crates.
32000km, KL650E fork service.
The difference the emulator valves make is huge.
The excessive high speed compression damping is gone. At the same time controlled and adjustable low speed compression damping is added, which the OEM setup lacks almost entirely.

Attention to detail.
NO, a D8EA is NOT just the same as a DPR8EA9.
Running an incorrect spark plug causes everything from poor performance to catastrophic engine damage.
