Spring is one of the most beautiful times of the year to get out on the motorcycle and enjoy the countryside. This time, we’re heading to the charming farming town of Hopefield for another memorable Breakfast Ride, taking in the open roads, beautiful scenery and the company of fellow riders along the way.

The BMWMCC Moto Marshals gathered in Agulhas for a weekend that combined important planning with great camaraderie.

Our AGM at the Agulhas Bowling Club was productive and focused, with the team reviewing past events and discussing plans for the season ahead. Moto Marshals provide invaluable support to the management teams of sports events, helping events run smoothly and keeping participants safe. The discussions highlighted the commitment, professionalism and countless volunteer hours that our team members contributed throughout the year.

Following the meeting, we returned to Cape Agulhas Backpackers, where we enjoyed exceptional hospitality. The evening was spent around a roaring fire, sharing stories and catching up with friends while enjoying a delicious homemade chicken potjie served with fresh bread. There was plenty of laughter and conversation as everyone relaxed after a productive day.

After breakfast on Sunday morning, the team headed to the southernmost tip of Africa for a group photo before setting off on our ride home. The scenic journey back to Cape Town provided a fitting end to an enjoyable and rewarding weekend.

A sincere thank you to every Moto Marshal who attended and to all those who continued to give their time, energy and expertise throughout the year. The friendships within this remarkable group were evident throughout the weekend. 🏍️📍🔥
