Gen 3 Hayabusa - its not the first one I tuned but this should still be worth a read.
Sebastian was kind enough to leave it with me for a month to play with.

First off, the myth that its not much better than the gen 2. it is much much better and I think a whole lot faster!
the first graph is a stock Gen 2 and a tuned gen3. 182 h compared to 185 ho, doesn't sound like much, but have a look at the graph, almost 15 hp more between 6000 and 9000 - the torque hits so much harder. its solid, smooth and the quick shifter is amazing.

the gen 3 is very restricted through its bottom end and midrange. I hasn't trying to make peak hp here, it didn't raise the limiter or add any timing, I just removed the restrictions and fueled it properly.

Big gains in bottom end and midrange, soo much the smoother
Dotted lines are stock, solid lines are after a full tune - red is hp, green is torque

I love this bike, its the ultimate muscle bike.
It packs such a punch in such a short rev range - as soon as you get the hang of that gear, you're in the next gear and it hits again and again

But that's not the point...
This bike has the best auto tuning system that I have ever seen, OEM or aftermarket.

We have played around with the mapping on this a lot!
2 weeks ago we set up Base Map, with the auto tune at 14.0 at low rpm, dropping down 12.8 at higher revs. no dyno tuning, we just left it to do its thing.

We put it on the dyno to check 2 weeks later - its almost exactly on its targets - Brilliant!

2014 MT09 – the original!
Over the years the bike hasn’t changed much but the electronics has changed more than any other bike on the market and they all have different tricks to get their power out of them – but this is the OG.

This bike has loads of restrictions, in bottom end and midrange as well as 2 top speed limiters.

With all of this removed, the fuelling still needs a lot of work. The bike runs quitr lean in some spots and ridiculously rich in others.

I set up Moda A as fully derestricted with a quick throttle, but its a lot and very aggressive, so I tuned mode B to have the same power on top but made it come in slower for a smoother cruise and STD now has a 1 to 1 throttle, for more precise riding, like track of mountains.

In all modes its smoother with better throttle response with the factory dips and flat spots removed and huge gains, except 30%, that seemed to be not restricted much at all… mmmh.

These runs were done in A mode at 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%

2011 - 2014 Honda CBF1000
This is the first one done in the world Flashed with Woolich.
I worked closely with them for about a month to set up the bin file.

These are fantastic bikes, but sadly very restricted and they run very very lean throughout the bottom end and midrange, probably to meet vehicle emission standard world wide.

The task here was to get the bottom end and midrange power up, smooth it out. Top end power was bad at all, fuelling was near perfect.

Bottom end came up nicely, big gains in acceleration and much smoother.
Dyno graphs are at 10%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% throttle

I get asked alot, "is it worth tuning my bike, its old and I dont race"

Well, here is a cbr 954, with an engine gaist system and a power commander 3
The goal here was to make it smoother, nicer to ride and more economical.

But for intrest sake, have a look at the graphs. 5%,10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%

Again, the point wasn't more power, that just happens when the bike is running as well as it can.

On average 10% increase in power, thats about double the gains you get on a newer bikes - double the difference. You could say that it's more important to tine an older bike than a newer bike

2025 kawasaki Zx10 (gen 6)

This I really enjoyed - probably spent too much time on it

The catalytic converter has been removed with a beautiful exhaust canister and link pipe as well as a performance air filter and the stick air fuel sensor was disconnected.

I know that your first instinct will want to see the max power at max rpm - thats not that impressive, it took me less than 20 minutes to tune 100% throttle.
Getting up to 100% throttle is much much quicker now.

I have attached dyno graphs run at of 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% throttle positions
(Not to hurt the bike too much i cut the dyno abit before the stock limiter - I DID NOT RAISE THE LIMITER! if I did figures would be higher)

Look through them - red is hp, green is torque and blue is air fuel ratio... the dotted line is before the full dyno tune.

First off - the stock fueling (dotted blue) is ridiculously lean, boardering on dangerous to the engine. But manufacturers have to do this to give us bikes like these. The solid blue line is current fueling - is aimed for 13.0 as it gets pretty warm on the track

Part of the tuning is removing restrictions in the ecu, one of the big restrictions here are the electronic throttle valves that open up alot slower than anyone would want.

The owner does alot of track riding and wants ALL of the power that he paid for. Arguably I could have left in some of the restrictions just before 8000 to give a smoother torque curve and stop that dip, we probably will fine tune abit.

Have a look at the lower throttle graphs...
Dont focus on hp or torque numbers - all bikes are different, all dynos are different and even the time of day changes numbers. Look at the % gain. Im sure that with with all of this power, alot of time will be spent at low throttle.
40% Throttle is about the power of a 750
60% Throttle is the power of most 1000s

The bike is so much h smoother and more rideable, its just soo damn fast!

Ps - I have cleaned up the dyno graphs abit, removing a whole lot of unnecessary information, if youd like to see the unaltered graphs, send me a message over whatsapp

Kawasaki ZX10 - Gen 5

Started off with a base flash to remove restrictions on the ecu then got it onto the dyno
- I found restrictions in the initial roll on, midrange cruising and at wide open throttle at high revs

The short exhaust took abit of work to smooth out - fueling was all over the place but eventually got it spot on

GSXR1000 R

This one took abit of time - new performance air filter, cleaned upper injectors, fuel pump service, derestricted ecu and dyno tune

The results were worth all of the work

Bottom end and midrange are much smoother with better throttle response and big power gains, it runs cooler and should be quite abit lighter on fuel.

A decent increase in top end power also

CBR600RR - 03/04

Power Commander 5 fitted, calibrated and dyno tuned.
Through all of the throttle ranges.

Looking past the numbers, we got huge gains in throttle response, ridability, and acceleration
