This past Monday Battlebirds Models embarked on a very different and challenging job for a regular, VIP customer. It was such a challenge for that Jon stayed on-site for the duration of the 4 day job. He was required to work on a 3D printed 1:4 scale Boeing B17G model that the customer had shipped from England. Various parts were assembled and many detailed areas were carefully painted, such as the crew figurines and engines. As well as adding these details, paint techniques were used to "weather" the model to add authenticity to it. Decals and markings were also added. Today the 1:4 scale model will be hung up on the ceiling of this very beautiful and unique hangar by professionals. Its been an honour to have been part of this project. A completely different challenge for Battlebirds Models but always exciting. Jon returns back to the workshop today to complete urgent pending work. If anyone requires their model to be restored, aged, weathered or just customised to your specs, let us know! WhatsApp Jon for enquiries +27722178960 or [email protected]

We were asked to post personal favourite scratch built models handcrafted by Battlebirds Models. It's always a difficult choice as each model is built with so much attention to detail. With much thought, here are the ones to date. Each part handcrafted, no kit parts, no 3D printed parts and custom paint schemes and livery to clients specifications. We do not build models that are manufactured by the 100000s in Asia. The workmanship is individually made to the collector, Aviator, Aviation business or Airliners requirements and specs. For quotes or enquiries, please WhatsApp Jon +27722178960 or [email protected]
