Statement from the Western Province Motor Club regarding the tragic passing of experienced Supercar racer Marcel Angel during the National Extreme Festival at Killarney International Raceway on 19 September 2026. 

Once again, the entire racing community extends its deepest condolences to Marcel’s wife, Mica, his children, family, and loved ones. Rest in peace, Marcel.

The entire GTI Challenge family extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and team of Marcel Angel. A true racer, a great friend, and a legend of the track who will forever be in our hearts.
