God Knows the Version of You Nobody Else Sees
People may judge the chapter they saw, but God knows the whole story. π€
Have you ever felt like people only remember the version of you that made mistakes, but nobody seems to remember what you were going through when you made them?
They know what you did.
They remember what you said.
They remember the decisions you regret.
But they don't know every tear you cried, every battle you fought, every night you struggled to find the strength to keep going.
They saw the moment you fell, but they didn't see everything that led you there.
And sometimes, that's painful.
Because you can grow, change, and genuinely become a different person, yet some people will continue to judge you by who you used to be.
But God knows the whole story.
He knows the parts you never had the courage to share.
He knows the pain you carried quietly.
He knows the prayers you whispered when nobody was listening.
He knows the battles you fought behind closed doors.
And He knows the heart behind the person you are still becoming.
# # # π€ GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART
1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us:
> βPeople look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.β
People may judge what they can see.
God sees what others cannot.
That doesn't mean our mistakes don't matter. It means our mistakes are not the entirety of who we are. God sees our need for repentance, our willingness to change, and the work He is doing within us.
And that gives me hope.
Because I know I haven't always gotten everything right.
I've made mistakes.
I've had moments I wish I could handle differently.
But I also know that my story doesn't end with the worst thing I've ever done.
God is still working in me.
And I'm learning that I don't have to spend my life trying to convince everyone that I've changed.
I can take responsibility for my past without allowing it to become my identity.
I can learn from my mistakes without living in shame.
I can trust God with the parts of my story that other people will never understand.
# # # ππ½ YOUR SATURDAY REFLECTION
As we come to the end of this week, I want you to pause and reflect.
Think about the version of yourself that people remember.
Then think about the person you've been working so hard to become.
The growth nobody applauded.
The battles nobody knew about.
The prayers that kept you going.
The changes that happened quietly, between you and God.
Take a moment today to thank God that He sees beyond your mistakes and knows your heart.
And if you've been carrying the weight of other people's opinions, bring that to Him too.
You don't have to prove your entire story to everyone.
Let your choices reflect your growth.
Let your life reflect your faith.
Let God continue shaping your heart.
And I want to ask you something personal:
What's one thing God has been changing in your heart that people may not seeβbut YOU know He's working on? π€
You don't have to share something deeply personal. Share only what you're comfortable with.
Maybe your answer will encourage someone who feels trapped by their past.
Because people may remember who you were, but God knows who you're becoming.
And this Saturday , may we find peace in knowing that the God who sees our hearts is still working on our stories. ππ½π€
