This Sunday, the 99th edition of the Comrades Marathon returns with the iconic Up Run — the shortest official Up Run in recent history — under the inspiring theme Ska Fela Moya ("Don't Give Up").

We'll be cheering on our Babcock colleagues as they take on this remarkable challenge.

A special shout-out to Ayanda, Thys and Meriam from our Head Office, Kimberley, Jet Park teams, who will be running their very first Comrades Marathon.

Joining them are seasoned Comrades runners Mark from Transport Solutions, taking on his 8th Comrades, and Simon from our Equipment business in Kimberley, who will be completing an incredible 21st Comrades.

Good luck to all our runners. Your commitment, resilience and perseverance make us proud. We're behind you every step of the way. 👏

Please join us in welcoming Kerri-Leigh Pires to Babcock’s Transport Solutions business as our new Head of Commercial and Technical. 👏

With 14 years of experience across the automotive and OEM sector, Kerri-Leigh brings extensive expertise in CKD assembly, after-sales, contract management, warranty, finance and operational leadership.

In her new role, she will lead key areas including DAF warranty, total cost of ownership (TCO) solutions, contract costing, legal compliance, telematics, and service operations - helping drive value, performance and customer support across the business.

We’re excited to have Kerri-Leigh on board and look forward to the leadership, insight and energy she brings to the team.
