Think yellow clear coat is bad? Not necessarily.

A slight amber tint in the cup doesn’t automatically mean the clear coat will make the finished paint look yellow. The color of the liquid can come from the resin system and additives used in the formulation — including components designed to improve UV and weathering resistance.

What really matters is how the clear coat performs after curing: clarity, gloss, durability, color stability and UV resistance.

So don’t judge a clear coat only by how perfectly clear it looks in the mixing cup. 🔥
