Our reputation is built on results our customers can actually feel behind the wheel โ real, safe power for daily work, not inflated numbers on a dyno printout.๐
โข๏ธBecause of that, keep this in mind when you compare us to anyone else: you can't fairly compare an honest dyno figure to an inflated one โ and in this industry, that's exactly the comparison a lot of customers end up making without realising it. Then you end up with an impressive promise or dyno sheet, but you actually get worse performance than what we at AVB Tuning offer.๐
Not all power figures mean the same thing. Dyno results can vary a lot between shops โ sometimes because of how a dyno is set up or calibrated, and unfortunately sometimes because numbers are deliberately inflated to impress๐. On top of that, "Stage 1" and "Stage 2" aren't regulated or standardised terms in this industry. Two shops can use the exact same label for very different tunes โ so a customer promised a "Stage 2" and shown a big dyno graph can end up with power that's actually equal to (or less than) our Stage 1, without ever knowing it.
We'd rather you judge us on honesty than on exaggerated paper numbers๐. We have done direct comparisons on multiple vehicles; most other dynos in the industry read 10โ20% higher than ours. That's not us being weaker โ it's us not inflating what you'll actually feel on the road.

We analyze your engine's air-fuel ratio. This tells us if the combustion mixture and temperatures are too high or too low.
If it's too high, it's mechanically dangerous for your engine. If it's too low, it's inefficient โ your fuel consumption and power can end up lower than expected.
Using the dyno to load your vehicle while reading air-fuel ratio and boost pressure, and other parameters lets us determine the maximum power that's still reliable and fuel-efficient.
The power your engine can produce isn't a number you can just pick โ it's determined by physics, and no one can get around that. So when someone promises you a massive power number, they're either inflating the actual figure, or they're running your engine at a dangerous air-fuel ratio and/or excessively high boost pressure.
That's why we keep it simple and transparent with three real options, based on how you actually use your bakkie:
Option 1 โ Maximum safe power with improved fuel consumption. Built for reliability under daily hard work.
Option 2 โ Maximum power, tuned to the edge. You take responsibility for driving within your own judgement and not overworking the engine.
Option 3 โ Hardware-backed extreme power (upgraded turbo and supporting mods) to safely go beyond what software alone can deliver.
No inflated promises, no vague "stages" โ just an honest conversation about what your bakkie can safely handle.
Book a dyno session with us and see real numbers for yourself, and we'll help you choose the option that actually fits how you drive.
