The LEPAS L6 has received international recognition after winning the Best Interior Design Award in the City Car category at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Award in Turin, Italy.
The award was presented on 11 September and comes shortly after the L6 entered the South African market. This year's competition featured 87 vehicles from 46 Chinese manufacturers, with models assessed by European automotive journalists and editors.
The L6's cabin features a 13.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50W wireless charger and dual-zone climate control. Its five-seat layout is complemented by a panoramic sunroof and a 2,700mm wheelbase.
South African models are offered in Javan and Pantera specifications. The higher-spec Pantera adds features including heated and ventilated front seats, power lumbar support, an eight-speaker Sony sound system and customisable ambient lighting.
Both variants use a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing 108kW and 225Nm through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Local pricing starts at R469,900 for the Javan, while the Pantera is priced from R499,900.
