We want to emphasize the importance of regular maintenance on cars, by reputable companies. We so often come across cars that has been serviced by a random mechanic at home or down the road.
These mechanics most likely do not have the correct equipment, in fact we know of many large workshops that do not have the necessary equipment, such as to pressure testing the cooling system, which are critical to ensure you donโt have water leaks.
One particular car we did this week the customer saved about R100-150 per service, but the repair bill was over R10k as result, to correct all the damage from poor maintenance and preventative maintenance.
This is becoming increasingly more important on newer model cars, which needs special equipment to enable testing, such as electronic water pumps, etc
We would like to urge you to share this post, as its typically the people who do not follow pages such as ours, that always fall in the trap and cannot afford the once of big amounts.
The photo shows the steel water pipe rusted through from not using coolant and thus had a big coolant leak, which lead to overheating.
