Here at GWR Racing, we have been manufacturing side shafts for many years. Most of the top hill climb cars have tried the rest but have found our shafts to be better and stronger than anything out there - including abroad.

As many of you know, we don't only work on the V8 Supercars we also service and work on older race cars. Hi Guys 🏎,

We are once again extremely happy and proud of the GWR Clients with their results throughout the year. This past weekend we had the final round of the Dunlop V8 Supercars series and what a nail-biting final it was.

Warren Lombard was ahead in the championship points with a mere 2 points. On Friday his car was perfect during the practice rounds but after qualifying early Saturday morning the gearbox was suspect thus we decided to change it before race one. Naturally, 30-minutes before the race we found a major fuel tank leak, resulting in a quick repair before the race. Race one went well but on the last lap Warren felt that the back-end of the car was not up to par and upon further investigation we discovered a problem with the rear end and changed the differential. This car has really tested us throughout this season, so winning the overall championship was the cherry on top!

We would also like to congratulate Thomas Reib, another GW Racing client, finishing second overall in the championship. Thomas you gave it your best shot by even purchasing a new chassis and body three-quarter way through the season. Well done!

We take great pride in giving our clients the best service and engines, and the results speak for themselves - time and time again.

What a successful weekend it was for the GW Racing clients. We are happy to report the following results from the final round of racing for the Dunlop V8 Supercars Championship held at Zwartkops raceway.

Qualifying:
Pole position - Warren Lombard (also set the fastest times in Friday's practice runs)
Second on the grid - Thomas Reib

Race 1:
1st Place - Warren Lombard
2nd Place - Thomas Reib

Race 2:
2nd Place - Warren Lombard
4th Place - Thomas Reib

Overall for the day:
1st - Warren Lombard
3rd - Thomas Reib

Hi Guys 🏎,

This past weekend we had the 4th round of the Dunlop V8 Supercars series at a very cold Red Star Raceway. Herewith, the results for the GWR clients that took part.

Qualifying GT Class:
* 2nd on the grid - Warren Lombard
* 3rd on the grid - Thomas Reib

Race 1:
* 2nd place - Warren Lombard
* 3rd place - Thomas Reib

Race 2:
* 1st Place - Thomas Reib
* Warren unfortunately had to retire from the race due to left rear wheel bearing failure.

Overall for the day:
* 1st Place - Thomas Reib
* 3rd Place - Warren Lombard

Well done to all our clients. We are excited to see what the next race will bring. Join us for the next race being held at East London Gran Prix Circuit on the 22nd & 23rd of August 2025.

Hope you guys are keeping warm in this weather. We had a very eventful weekend of racing at Zwartkops raceway. Herewith the results of the third round of the 2025 Dunlop V8 Supercars championship:

Qualifying:
* Ben Morgenrood - Set the quickest time in his Ford Mustang for the GTX class
* Thomas Reib - 3rd place
* Franco Di Matteo - 4th place
* Warren Lombard - 5th place
* Richard Fuller - 6th place

1st Race (GT1 Class):
* 2nd Place - Thomas Reib
* 3rd Place - Franco Di Matteo
Unfortunately, both Warren Lombard and Richard Fuller had steering and braking problems that caused them difficulties during the first race.

2nd Race (GT1 Class):
* 1st Place - Warren Lombard
* 2nd Place - Thomas Reib
* 3rd Place - Franco Di Matteo
* 4th Place - Richard Fuller

Overall for the day (GT Class):
* 1st Place - Thomas Reib
* 2nd Place - Franco Di Matteo

We had the second round of the Dunlop V8 Supercars series held at Kyalami Raceway on the 12th of April 2025. It was a close race that kept everyone on their toes. Here are the results:

Qualifying session (Friday):
* Warren Lombard - Pole position
* Thomas Reib - 2nd place

1st Race (GT Class):
* Warren Lombard - 1st place
* Thomas Reib - 2nd place

2nd Race - reversed grid (GT Class):
* Thomas Reib - 1st place
* Warren Lombard - 2nd place

Overall for the day:
* 1st Place - Thomas Reib
* 2nd Place - Warren Lombard

Ben Morgenrood once again had a very good weekend and finished first in the GTX class.

The third round of the Dunlop V8 series will be held on the 16 & 17th of May 2025 at Zwartkops Raceway.

* 292-degree hydraulic camshaft (248-degree duration at .050”) - 0.524/ 0.543”
* Forged pistons -4.50” bore, 10.25:1 C.R.
* Aluminium single plane 4-bbl intake manifold
* Forged steel crankshaft - 4.15” stroke
* Precision double roller timing chain and sprockets
* Chrome front cover

An engine a day 🏎,

We don’t only do race engines, we also do street engines for ALL applications and we can supply spares for most common V8 engines.

The attached engine is a 302 Ford Windsor that has been custom built for a Jeep. It features a 500 Cfm Carburetor fitted on air gap dual plane intake, Aluminium 60cc Chamber Heads with a hardened high torque cam, the bottom end has a new set of pistons and has a fully balanced rotating assembly.

All our engines get new freeze plugs, cam bushes, new bearings and connecting rod bolts along with a fresh coat of paint.

Hi Guys 🏎,

This past weekend we kicked off the 2025 season for the Dunlop V8 Supercars series. We are excited to see what the year has in store for the GW Racing clients.

Before we get into the results of this weekend’s races, we would like to take a moment to thank Julian Fameliaris Racing and his team for their continued support over the last few years. Julian has decided to race in the Endurance series. We wish you the best of luck for the future.

Franco DiMatteo unfortunately had a technical issue this past weekend and was unable to partake in the event.

Results for Round 1 held on Saturday 1st of March at the Zwartkops Raceway:

Race 1 results for GT1 class:
* Warren Lombard - 1st place (fastest at practice on Friday and earning pole position for race 1)
* Thomas Reib - 2nd place

Race 2 results for GT1 class:
* Thomas Reib - 1st place
* Warren Lombard - 2nd place

Overall for the day in the GT1 class:
* Warren Lombard - 1st place
* Thomas Reib - 2nd place
