An expired certificate parks a tanker as effectively as a mechanical failure.

Three-year and six-year pressure tests and the fifteen-year revalidation each carry their own scope and documentation requirements, and they are all predictable. Reacting to an expiry in November is the most expensive way to manage a known date.

Every tanker that leaves our workshop goes back to work on South African roads.

This Transport Month, TRD is focusing on what gets a unit back into service safely: testing it can be certified on, repairs done properly, and a workshop that can take any tanker regardless of who built it.

Over the coming weeks we will show the range of work that happens behind our gates, from routine SLP checks to full structural rebuilds.

October is the last month of the free SLP check special.

Book a 3-year pressure test, 6-year pressure test or 15-year revalidation before the end of October, and TRD will carry out SLP checks at no additional cost: optic sockets, overfill sensors, dome covers, drainage pipes, vapour recovery, pneumatics and earth reel continuity.

Combining required testing with SLP checks finds issues early, reduces downtime risk and keeps units inspection-ready going into the busiest quarter of the year.
