Arrived in the Marquesas Islands on the 3rd of March. Spent a month or so there then a 4 day passage to the Tuamotu Archipelago. Stopping in Rarola, Makemo, Tehanea, Fakarava, Aratike and Apataki. That was almost 2 months of coral atolls and very few other cruisers. Then a two day passage to Tahiti - wow does it seem strange to be in a big city!! But it's nice to walk into a real grocery store or go to shore and order a Pizza.

Haven't posted in a while - Willie's charter career finished in 2021 - can't believe all the Wonderfull times I've had in the BVI.
When the Covid pandemic happened I couldn't even get to Tortola to get Willie - The BVI government pretty much locked down the Island. So I hired 2 guys to ferry the boat from TMM to St Thomas. They could dock the boat then step onto a chase boat that had followed them and they could then go back to TMM. I then sailed the boat up to Fort Lauderdale and found a wonderful dock behind a house just off the ICW in Lighthouse Point.
Willie spent the next 4 seasons there. Sailed the Bahamas a couple of years and one year in the Keys. Then started a trip to French Polynesia - but got stuck in the Bahamas - with a failed control board for the genset. So back to Dock.

Ended up leaving the US in early November. Back to the Bahamas then through the Windward passage - between Haiti and Cuba. 8 days of rough sailing - big winds and bigger waves on the beam. It was nice to see Panama! Checked in, applied for a long term Visa at the French Embassy. Then spent 6 weeks sailing the San Blas archipelago. Back to Panama to transit the canal. Then back to the embassy to pick up the visa. Off to the Pearl Islands for a month. Then started the really big adventure - a 32 day passage to cross the Pacific to the Marquesas Islands. Of the 32 days there was a total of 8 days of motoring - very little wind or waves near the equator. Had the parasail up for 12 days stright! With no real change of wind direction or speed. And only saw one other boat - a commercial fishing vessel the entire trip.
