This is a Disclaimer and Reminder....
Ok as we approach our 3rd month opening up shop it has been really picking up. Got a few things to get out there and yes there is be a new sign added and taped on the desk for everyone to read so I don't have to repeat it.
1. If you haggle me on my pricing over and over your car will be put outside for you to get off my property. Pricing is absolutely non negotiable! We are already the best Labor Rate in Rocky Mount,NC! Absolutely no question about it. Shop Rate is 95/Hr , Performance work is 115/hr so still beating most even on my performance Labor on others normal rate. Im trying to give people Good work, and the best prices. But everyone knows Mechanics have a very bad reputation as it is and I don't like it. We do honest work In my shop and it will stay like that regardless. I will not just swap parts And sell you stuff that you don't need FLAT OUT! If my diagnostic is wrong I will Proudly bite that bullet and get your car right that's my Guarantee with my diagnostic.
1.5. Yes I do work on special labor rates but only for DEALERS that bring consistent business This does not apply to if your bringing the same car over and over.
2. If you bring your own parts ( I really don't mind it) but remember my shop warranty leaves out the door. Labor is never warrantied. There is warranty labor claims for jobs but only if we supplied the parts with our Dealer and account. Which I would make a Labor claim through to get paid for a failed or defective part. Or you pay for full labor time again if you supplied your own parts for us to put on. (Warranty labor claims on apply if the parts are under shop account.
2.5. Cars that are finished and customer has been contacted about it. After 3 days there be a $30 a day added on bill. Taking parking spots means I'm losing parking. Which could end up possibly meaning I lose money.
3. I do honer doing Diagnostics fees will be waived if you choose to repair with us( Not backyard Bob). Basic Diagnostics are 95+Tax. / AC Diagnostics 133+Tax, Freon. /. Electrical Diagnostics 95/Hr and only maxes at 4hrs. Which is fair cause electrical takes a lot longer in some cases. This is not a part swap shop. We do real diagnostics and try our best to get it done right the first time. This isn't YouTube.
3.5. I will not be accepting any cars that were fixed at another repair facility and my brother and I gotta chase someone else's work. I REPEAT. If Backyard Bob didn't do the job right, PLEASE go ahead and take it back for him to fix and get it right for you. I absolutely hate chasing others work on a vehicle and I know my brother does also. ( Diagnostic bills are due regardless if you want to fix it and it will be waived for in the repair order or not fix it and pay just for the diagnostic. And absolutely non refundable and non negotiable. I don't care if Bob told you I was wrong you should stick with the ASE YouTube Mr. Bob for all your car needs! We actually buy and use proper diagnostic equipment and still adding more as we stay in business. Reading codes isn't doing Diagnostic work(I don't charge for reading codes cause that isn't diagnostics whatsoever. One code could be there due to a whole other sensor or component, some people just don't understand how a cars wiring harness is made up and how it functions. So that being said you bring me a Part and backyard Bob said the code is for that, we will replace whatever you want. Just know that might not solve your issue!
4. ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMERS IN BAY OR WORK AREAS PLEASE!!! My insurance does not cover you. If you choose to go beyond to the work area you will charged $100 extra dollars on your bill or I'll create you a R.O for you to pay. So please don't have management enforce stuff you know that you shouldn't be doing. Common sense questions that you could of looked up answers for yourself , Make me looked up a parts that I know for a fact has a P/N stamped somewhere on it so you can Google it will be $5 for each question or Part we have to look up. Tell my brother and I how to do the job cause Backyard Bob does it this way will be $150 extra. So please we are busy enough there as it is we surely dont need the extra work load for any matter. I will have a list of stuff that will be charged to you for doing what you please. We have a nice lobby with AC and chairs Take a seat and relax is all we ask for you to do, if you are waiting! P.S Those charges mainly apply for going beyond your will in areas in my shop. I do know every question always sounds stupid but I understand not everyone knows. I just don't want to repeat myself 5 times on a question. So ask anything just make sure your listening please. But looking up parts is simple and ain't rocket science there is a Part Number stamped on mostly everything nowadays or a sticker. Simple to find anything nowadays shouldn't leave it to others nowadays everyone is a mechanic from YouTube, just imagine Google 😯 lol giving out top tier information here people. Unfortunately I didn't learn mechanics from any of that but it's there for everyone to use in todays world.
4.5. We are not mobile mechanics or do roadside work by any means. We do have a good towing service on call of you need to get it to our Facility for repair(s) can be paid up front or if your not in a good situation which we understand we all have been down bad before. We are happy to add the towing fee towards your bill.
