🇻🇳 TOUR COMPLETE! 🇫🇷 – The Final Chapter 🛵🍻🏆

With another amazing tour completed, there was only one final stage to wrap things up — the traditional End of Tour Gala Dinner at Nam Bo Restaurant! 🍽️🍻

As always, we had a fantastic selection of dishes, a slightly larger than recommended amount of adult beverages 😂, and plenty of non-stop laughs while recapping some truly unforgettable days on the road.

The evening wouldn’t have been complete without the traditional Tour Certificates and Awards, with trophies handed out for everything from Best Rider to Biggest Drinker… and a few other highly prestigious categories that are probably best left unmentioned! 😂🏆🍺

And because the gang clearly weren’t ready to call it a night, there was only one place to finish off the tour properly — the one and only Buddha Bar! 🍻💥

The highlight of any tour like this isn’t just the incredible roads, scenery, scooters, food and adventures along the way , it’s finishing the journey with new friendships and a whole load of unforgettable memories 🇻🇳🇫🇷

Finally, a HUGE thank you to Linh, because quite simply, without her these tours wouldn’t be possible. 🙏

From organising and bookings, sorting out the food, navigating, being tour doctor, problem solver, translator, keeping everyone on track and even repairing the tour van! 😂 — the list of jobs is far too long to mention.

Another fantastic adventure in the books with a brilliant group of people.

🇻🇳 Tour Day 10 🇫🇷 – Nam Cat Tien to Ho Chi Minh City 🌆🛵🌦️

Homeward bound today! 🏁

Nice and overcast this morning, and hopefully no more storms. We kicked off the final day with an early breakfast on the riverfront before checking out, refuelling the scoots and hitting the road for the final leg back to Saigon.

Back onto QL20, we made great time and, with the all scoots running like a dream. Traffic wasn’t too bad and we rolled back into the SSC Workshop nice and early. Perfect timing, as oh yeah , the heavens opened up again.
Ten days on the road successfully completed and the compulsory celebratory cold beers were cracked open! 🍻🛵💥

With the tour van unloaded, scooters parked up and hotel check in sorted, the guys had a well-earned afternoon to chill out and hit the pool before tonight’s big finale.

End of Tour Gala Dinner kicks off at 7:30pm at one of our favourite end of tour locations - “Nam Bo” Restaurant

🇻🇳 Tour Day 9 🇫🇷 – Đà Lạt to Nam Cat Tien and a few “Light” showers 🐊🎋🛵🌦️

With a very early Morning downpour and cloudy skies albeit it nice and chilly for a change we hit the road with a quick detour for the Tour Van check up after yesterdays mountain fix which was all good and we’re back in action. Rain rain and more rain is the storm forecast!

QL20 sees a 200km day for the old Italians , more rain! , a “Com Nieu” lunch stop , a refuel at Bao Loc and then onto Nam Cat Tien National Park. And or course more rain!

Eventually we rolled into Bamboo House Eco Resort for a late check-in at Nam Cát Tiên National Park, just in time to grab last orders before the restaurant closed and yep more rain!

Tomorrow’s destination after a very wet day and drying out (Maybe) - Ho Chi Minh City and the gala Dinner for the team💥…to be updated! 🌧️

🇻🇳 Tour Day 8 🇫🇷 – Nha Trang to Đà Lạt 🛵⛰️🌲

Today we left the beaches and tropical heat of Nha Trang behind and headed for the cooler mountain ride into Đà Lạt, Vietnam’s famous old French hill station.

Let it not be said that the SSC tours don’t offer a range of experiences from 40oC Beach baking heat to a 20oC drop by the time we hit the mountains. A great French connection to today’s route also for France Casa Boys. With some QL27C cruising to start the morning , we headed to the amazing Nha Trang to Dalat Khánh Lê Pass. A spectacular 40km climb, rising from sea level to 1,700 metres.

With the trusty SSC tour van blowing a hose on the way up we went ahead and also pulled out the new Scomadi Demo to give it a good road testing on the mountain passes

The rains finally caught up with us so a big shout out to Joseph and the Givi gang for the much needed rain gear again ( I’m sure Jospeph had been doing his rain dance again!)

With more dirty fuel issues we finally made it upto the beautiful old French hill station of Dalat just in time for our scheduled 5.30pm check in.

A great effort from Linh for saving the day with the Merc repairs and finally getting the bags to the team in one piece at 11pm!
In between that a great Italian and a couple of bottles of Italys finest vino and then a well earned sleep.

Overall a great day of old Skool scootering with more than a few adventures 🛵💨🌲⛰️

🇻🇳 Tour Days 6–7 🇫🇷 – Nha Trang 🛵☀️🌴🌊

Day 6 was a well earned free day for the gang to do a bit of exploring, catch up on some laundry, hit the local beach and generally enjoy some downtime after a few solid days on the scoots.

The day wrapped up at The Sailing Club for dinner, drinks and a taste of Nha Trang nightlife 🍻🍹

Day 7 kicked off with a decent hotel breakfast before jumping into a couple of taxis and heading over to the Tourist Port to charter our trusty private charter water steed for the day! 🚤😂

With a few stops scheduled around three of Nha Trang’s islands, first up was Trí Nguyên Island for the famous “Pirate Ship” aquarium, followed by a dip in the completely empty swimming pool — actually not bad at all and worth a visit

Then it was back aboard and over to Sỏi Beach on Sỏi Island for some refreshments, beach time and parasailing before heading across to the Hòn Miễu floating fishing village for an absolutely massive fresh seafood feast. 🦞🦀🦐🐟

Heading back to the mainland mid-afternoon, there was just enough time for a stop at Louisiane Brewhouse on the beachfront to hit their pool ,enjoy a couple of cold ones before heading back to the hotel to pack up and get ready to hit the road again tomorrow. 🍺🌴

A total change of scenery coming next as we leave the coast behind and start climbing into the mountains towards the old French hill station of Dalat. ⛰️🇻🇳

🇻🇳 Tour Day 5 🇫🇷 – Sorrento Beach to Nha Trang 🛵☀️🌴

A late start today was in order after a few long days in the saddle and after a hearty breakfast at Sorrento we hit the road late morning.

As always the coastal road DT702 never disappoints with some picture postcard back drops and some spectacular scootering roads again.

After a great lunch stop at “Cay Dua” we had a quick blast on Highway 1 and then back onto the less hectic route via Phan Rang again and back on the coast road getting us into Nha Trang

With the scoots running like clockwork we arrived in Nha Trang for our hotel check in at 5pm our home for the next couple of days although the schedule is busy we’ll on the water not on the scoots!

Another great day of scootering in the Nam , sunny but breezy and once again we dodged the rain. Win Win!

With a party in order for the evening we hit a local seafood buffet restaurant for a few hours. A massive selection of fresh seafood , more than a few Bia Hoi’s and a nice bottle of Glenlivet from the lads. After that a hilarious bar hop and the evening was rounded off in true Vietnamese style with a slightly “hair-raising” electric cyclo ride back to the hotel! 🤣

🇻🇳 Tour Day 4 🇫🇷 – Mui Ne to Sorrento Beach Resort 🛵☀️🌴

An early morning start saw us rolling out of Mui Ne following the coast road north with Sorrento Beach Resort as today’s destination.

The road conditions were “interesting” again with as usual the Mui Ne northern coastal road still under heavy construction to sections that the team decided to repurpose for the Casa Rocket team racetrack😂

Another scorching hot day again adding to the fun, but thankfully the coastal breeze was doing its job also.

The ride through the spectacular Bàu Trắng Sand Dunes was a highlight as usual , with the obligatory fresh coconut stop before capturing some stunning drone footage. A huge thanks to Jim for taking time out from work to join the gang and film for the tour, some fantastic videos and photos to come!

A later than planned lunch required a slight detour to Highway 1 to track down a restaurant that was still serving food, before continuing along the beautiful coastal route through Cà Ná Peninsula, Mũi Dinh, and into Phan Rang, eventually arriving at our destination, Sorrento Beach Resort.

As always, it was straight into the routine - Resort check in, scooters serviced and checked over, a dip in the pool, happy hour beers, a nice steak , a few bottles of vino and an excellent dinner as always to round off a fantastic day.

Tomorrow we head into Nha Trang for a little more beachside R&R before the big celebration for Pat & Linh’s Wedding Anniversary. 🥂🎉 Stay tuned!
