An Bang Cemetery, located in Phu Vang District near Hue City, is one of the most unique and famous cemeteries in Vietnam. It is often called the “City of Ghosts” because of its large, colorful, and palace-like tombs.

The cemetery reflects a mix of traditional Vietnamese beliefs, Buddhism, and modern architectural styles. Many tombs are built very elaborately, showing the respect and care of local families for their ancestors.

Typhoon Bualoi (Cat 1) is churning along the coast north of Danang and is expected to move northwest, making landfall as a strong typhoon just south of Vinh later tonight. Reported heavy rains in central VN will subside later today, while north central provinces get increasingly heavy precipitation patterns this afternoon into tonight and tomorrow. Windspeeds measured over 120 km/hour in the eyewall.

This storm is mostly affecting coasts from Danang up to Thanh Hoa, but may have more widespread effects as it begins to dissipate tomorrow.

I think Hanoi will feel some effects of this large system starting later this afternoon and continuing into tomorrow. Maybe even more than Ragasa. Expect heavy rainspells tonight and a very wet morning tomorrow. Some localised flooding is possible. Cool autumnal temps this week.
