Good morning!
If you are considering coming to water island today whether you plan to rent a cart or not…
Be forewarned that the mosquitos are awful at the moment. Due to the rains that came with Tropical Storm Ernesto we have large amounts of standing water here on Water island that cannot be drained and therefore a huge swarm of mosquitos at the moment.
A couple more days and they should be better.
These nasty buggers not only make it not fun to enjoy the island by buzzing all around and biting you! But they also can give you dengue fever😖
We recommend you postpone your trip over here for a couple days till the swarm dies down. Stay safe and have fun!

Keep in mind that after such a huge rain with a lot of run-off it is not a good idea to swim at the beaches.
