A Tribute to Jack – A Father’s Legacy.
Sadly, as Christmas drew near in 2012, Rob’s beloved father, Jack, passed away. There was so much Rob and Jo wished they could have shared with him before his passing, the joy of the birth of more great grandchildren. Jack would have been immensely proud of the way his son had taken the helm, steering VOYAGE Charters and the Boat Yard teams through growth, challenges, and important decisions with wisdom and heart.
Jack, in his own younger years, had been a builder of homes and housing complexes, leading a large staff and earning great respect in his industry. A man of vision and practical skill, Jack spent years teaching his son about the building world, laying a foundation not just of knowledge but of character. From as early as age sixteen, Robin—while still in school and later at technical college—spent time helping his father at work. Jack recognized his son’s tremendous potential early on and nurtured it with patience and guidance.
Jack’s influence runs like a thread through the very fabric of VOYAGE. He has been, and always will be, a source of inspiration, the quiet strength behind Robin’s dream and the reason that dream became a reality.
We remember Jack with love, admiration, and profound gratitude—for the sacrifices he made, the lessons he taught, and the legacy he entrusted to his son. His memory remains a guiding light, shining brightly over VOYAGE and the family he helped to build.
