Koenigsegg's Freevalve technology gives 47 percent more torque, 45 percent more power, uses 15 percent less fuel, 35 percent fewer emissions. And a Chinese car should be the first to get it.

DRIVING TIPS!
WARNING LIGHTS PART TWO.
Last time we covered red warning lights. This time we will cover check engine lights: This is usually an amber light and may be called other things like service engine soon and or have a image of an engine. Normally if it is on steady and the car seams to run OK it won't damage the car to drive it. This light is telling the driver that there is something wrong with the vehicle computer controlled systems and it records a trouble code in its flash memory and turns on the light. There are many, possibly hundreds of possible codes and you can store many at the same time. It is recommended to get the computer scanned as soon as convenient. If you notice performance problem don't wait too long, and if the light is flashing try backing off on the gas to see if it stops flashing. The computer is programmed to flash the light if the failed circuit could cause damage to the vehicle. If this is happening the vehicle should be service as soon as possible. Some of the codes are caused by a sensor that might cause the car to run poorly and some just notify the Technician of an emission threshold falling out of Federal standards and the car runs OK but may produce more than allowable exhaust emissions. The problem with letting it go and not diagnosing and repairing the problem is if an other code sets and you don't notice a change in performance you will not know about it because the light is already on.
Little long winded, but I hope not too technical what do you think?

DRIVING TIPS! WARNING LIGHTS.
What do you do when you have a warning light come on?
There are amber and red lights. Red usually means stop as soon as you can or don't go. Amber lights are not as critical but still need to be noted. It is helpful to familiarize yourself with your cars instrument panel. The owners manual is very good source of information and would help you understand gauges and warning lights on your automobile. Generally if you have a red warning light (it could say check gauges) or a red brake light could be caused by parking brake is on, the brake fluid is low, a leak causing a pressure difference between front and rear brakes or an ABS failure affecting the hydraulic system. The driver could check the parking brake to see if it is released and the master cylinder to see if it is below the add mark. I don't recommend adding brake fluid if it is above the add mark. If the break light is still on you should check with your mechanic. More on warning lights next time and drive safely.

Winter driving tips;
If you have a dead battery in freezing cold temperatures the electrolyte in the battery can freeze and damage your battery. If your cars battery gets discharged (go's dead) for any reason it is important to recharge it before the electrolyte it has time to freeze. This doesn't take long in sub 0 temperatures. If you are not able to get it charged in a short time one option would be to remove the battery and bring it inside. Careful handling a battery they have acid inside, if you have never done that read up on it before or call me. One more thing a cold battery takes longer to charge so if it is run down a short drive in you car may not be enough to get it fully charged. I recommend owning a small 10 amp battery charger it is good to have and if used properly will extend battery life.
Have a good day and happy motoring and stay warm.

Fall is here and last longer than last year! Last year at this time we has an ice storm fallowed by snow. With the colder weather I already have customers with coolant leaks showing up. The change in temperature causes hoses and parts to shrink show up problems we were not aware of. this happens more often in older vehicles so it is a good idea to look on the garage floor or where ever the car is parked for antifreeze or any fluid that might be leaking. Happy motoring and enjoy are extended fall;{)
