This manual transmission was disassembled and inspected after a noticeable gear noise was noticed. During teardown, worn internal bearings were identified as the source of the noise. The transmission received new bearings and seals, was properly reassembled, and refilled with fresh gear oil. After repair, the transmission operates smoothly and quietly with no abnormal noise present.
